I was looking for fencing for my own place and found this fencing and thought it might be something this group would be possibly be interested in at some point.

-Amy shared lobby blueprint- aim is to cultivate space that is “Welcoming, active, colorful, vibrant, and available for the community to meet”
-“flags of many nations” replaced with sustainability flags.
REALM OF INFLUENCE/GOALS
We are the recommending authority in regards to the interior and exterior aesthetics, practices and systems for Barnes. This includes campus practices such as waste management, energy use Aesthetics inside and out, art, design w/ curriculum connections, modeling “Stewardship” behavior Systems and functions (the social, environmental and economic impact of our practices, purchasing, behaviors)*Purchasing* and materials use
-Goals: improve the lobby, consider the outdoor space/ develop plans for the outdoor space, be up to speed and involved in the larger building/campus improvement conversations with the district
CAFETERIA ARTS
A team of local artists and staff are working on a mural project for the cafeteria that would include 4 seasonal panels featuring local foods from our local farms. incorporate the cafeteria arts crew into our own.
SPACE NEEDS
The PICs requested a “more effective parent involvement space” ideal is at least the size of the planning room with 3 computer terminals, phone line as well as some family resource space.currently working in pto room; the pto space typically has 3 children or less and needs a work station, as well as space for children to calm down.
Afterschool also needs space- possibly stage space? Potential for the space becky and tom share? What changes might take place for next year? What about the potential new refrigeration outside the kitchen?
KEEP YOUR EYES OPEN FOR CREATIVE SPACE USE
Sarah recruited two UVM grad students who have a strong interest in working with low income communities. They will be invited to the next meeting.
- invite Vince to brief on renovations.
-invite farmer Dylan to our meetings regarding the gardens.
